Material science company that makes planet-positive textiles.
Textiles are damaging the planet by accelerating climate change, creating mountains of plastic pollution whilst consuming vast amounts of land and other precious natural resources. In fact, 60-80% of an apparel brand’s total environmental-footprint comes from the materials it uses.
SaltyCo is a material science company that harnesses regenerative agriculture to create planet-positive textiles. Our first product, BioPuff, is a plant-based fibrefill for use as an alternative to goose-down or synthetic fills. Not only is it warm, lightweight and naturally water-repellent, but BioPuff is also biodegradable, carbon negative and cruelty-free!
SaltyCo is a showcase of how powerful multi-disciplinary design and innovation can be when driven by a sole mission and vision. Our strength is in our diversity; we have backgrounds in fashion, design, engineering and chemistry. We are also from two different hemispheres, spanning three different languages and four different countries. SaltyCo has proven that we have the technical knowledge to develop an exceptional product and the strategic expertise to align our interests with current trends and partners.

- Won £75,000 through competition and accelerator awards.

We are looking to raise £300k for our seed round. S/EIS Eligible.
